Child Safety Standards
Last updated July 2026
Filo is an adults-only service with zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern, and how we act on reports.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report it to us at lunexcore@gmail.com so we can remove the content and preserve evidence.
Our standards
Filo prohibits, absolutely and without exception, any use of our service to facilitate child sexual abuse or exploitation. This includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any sexualised depiction of a minor, real, altered or generated
- Sexualising, grooming, soliciting or sextorting a minor, or attempting to arrange contact with one
- Trafficking of minors, or advertising, requesting or facilitating any such activity
- Any account created by, or holding itself out as, a person under 18
- Sharing off-platform links or contact details for the purpose of any of the above
These rules are part of our Terms & Conditions and apply to profiles, photos, voice intros, chat messages and member-hosted events alike.
Filo is for adults only
- Every member must confirm they are 18 or over at sign-up, before any profile is created
- Accounts are tied to a verified phone number or email address, and members can additionally verify their identity with a live face check
- An account we determine to belong to a minor is removed and its data deleted, whether or not any other rule was broken
How to report
In the app. Every profile and conversation has a Report option. Choose the reason that fits and submit — reports reach our safety team directly and can be made without the reported member knowing. You can also Block anyone immediately, which stops all contact.
By email. Anyone — member or not — can report a child safety concern to lunexcore@gmail.com. Please include any usernames, phone numbers or screenshots that would help us identify the account. You do not need a Filo account to report to us.
Do not forward suspected CSAM to us or to anyone else. Tell us where it is and we will retrieve and preserve it lawfully.
How we respond
Reports of child safety concerns are prioritised above all other report types. When we confirm a violation we:
- Remove the offending content immediately
- Permanently ban the account and block the associated phone number and email from re-registering
- Preserve the account data, content and access logs as evidence, rather than deleting them
- Report to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in Nigeria, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP)
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement requests and lawful preservation orders
We take action on credible reports even where the conduct falls short of a criminal threshold — an account does not have to be prosecuted for us to remove it.
Point of contact
Our designated contact for child safety matters, including enquiries from Google, platform partners, regulators and law enforcement:
We aim to acknowledge child safety reports within 24 hours and to action confirmed violations immediately on verification.
Legal compliance
We comply with applicable child protection law in the territories where Filo is available, including Nigeria’s Child Rights Act and the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, and we meet the child safety obligations of the app stores that distribute Filo. Where local law requires reporting to a national authority, we report there in addition to NCMEC.
